Important Terms and Concepts related to SEO

• Over Optimization Penalty (OOP)
  A website that is penalized because of over optimization done by placing too many keywords repeatedly all over in various section like title, meta tags, heading tags, body, ALT tags etc of a webpage(s) is termed as Over Optimization Penalty.
  
  
• Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI)
  This approach is used by search engines especially Google to recognize keywords in the context of the words on the entire webpage and determining which pages to be kept outside of search engine result pages.
  
  
• Google PageRank (PR)
  It is a system that Google has developed and uses to determine the importance of a particular webpage or website. Any page is rated in between 0-10, once it is indexed by Google.
  
  
• Bounce Rate
  It is a percentage of users, who left the website, without visiting any other webpages, after entering the website.
