Permission Based Email Marketing
Email marketing is considered to be one of the effective marketing tools. It can be helpful in reaching the target audience and give a start to business relationship. The message to be sent can be in the form of simple formatted email, html newsletter, marketing collaterals as attachments or sales letter.
If you have a database of email lists of your existing customers, then you can use it to promote your business. The message sent should keep your customers’ interested or to be useful, which may lead to next actions. Also provide an option to unsubscribe (Opt Out option), if your customer doesn’t want to receive your emails anymore.
But if you don’t have email lists, then you should make efforts to build it. Some of the ways to do that
- Newsletter Section – creating a section in your website asking your visitors to sign-in to receive free newsletters, PDF downloads, webinars etc.
- Quiz / Polls / Contests – Encouraging your visitors to participate in online quiz or polls or contests in your website by proper registration process.
- Freebies – Giving away some freebies in exchange of emails such as demo versions, gifts, e-books etc.
All above ways are Opt In options, requesting customers to put on your list & use it for marketing campaigns. (Contd.)
