Permission Based Email Marketing
- Renting a list – You can find some vendors on internet, that sells or rent an email lists. Some give away a huge list at a cheap rates, some can give you a list as per your targeted segments & charge you accordingly and while some of them even have permission based email lists (under their terms & conditions of usage). Web2Promote don’t recommend this, however, it doesn’t mean that it cannot be used or can’t be helpful.
While conducting an email campaign, two things to be taken care off 1) SPAM and 2) High Delivery Rates.
In case of SPAM, see that your email is not trapped in Spam Filters activated by email recipients. To protect your email to be caught in Spam Filters, care should be taken in framing subject lines and body content of an email. Use of repetitive words or phrases, more usage of promotional words, unknown sender’s email id, no contact details, use of exclamation, quotes, all characters in uppercase (in subject lines) etc are some of the Spam filter triggers. One can test email subject lines and body content by using http://spamcheck.sitesell.com before actually using it.
Also, care should be taken that you don’t send emails to unsubscribe email lists otherwise they can file a complaint against you (report as spam). If you wish to repeat a campaign with a same list, see that you keep a proper interval between first and repeat campaign, maintaining your unsubscribe lists along. (Back) (Contd.)
