Difference between a Search Engine and Directory
When you are on some search engines, you will find a link to directory, knowingly called as web directory for that search engine. Popular search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN etc have their own web directory. Now, web directory is also a database of websites, organized under categories and sub categories. Then what’s the difference between a search engine and directory. Below are the points that differentiate between them.
